Ask anyone at our front desk what stops parents from sticking with a workout routine, and "nowhere to bring the kids" tops the list every time. You can plan the perfect training schedule, but if there's nowhere safe to bring your kids, it falls apart by week two. That's the problem Kidz Club was built to solve, and it's back at MAC, drop-in and ready whenever you walk through the door.
The number one reason parents stop training
It isn't motivation. It isn't time management. For most parents in Murfreesboro, the single biggest barrier to a consistent gym habit is a simple logistics problem: what do we do with the kids? A babysitter falls through, a class doesn't line up with nap time, or a spouse's work trip leaves one parent covering everything solo. Any one of those is enough to turn a three-day-a-week routine into a once-a-month afterthought.
We hear this constantly from families who join MAC specifically because Kidz Club removes that barrier. It's included with Diamond membership for up to 2 kids, and it's open the same hours you are.
How Kidz Club actually works
Kidz Club is a Diamond membership benefit that covers up to 2 kids per membership, with additional kids at $9 bi-weekly each. It's designed to be as simple as possible for a parent who's already juggling a lot:
- Screen-free, on purpose. No tablets, no TVs. Kids play, build, color, and read with real toys and real people for the whole visit.
- CPR-certified staff. Every member of the Kidz Club team is CPR certified, and so is the rest of the MAC staff.
- Ages 6 months through 12 years. One drop-off point covers the whole family.
- No reservation needed. Walk up to the Kidz Club desk and check your child in whenever you arrive.
- Up to two hours per visit. Plenty of time for a full workout, a class, and a stop in the recovery studio.
- Parents stay on premises. You need to remain in the building for the duration of the visit, though you're free to move between the weight floor, classes, courts, or recovery studio.
- Background-checked staff. Our Kidz Club team is screened and trained, and we maintain state-required child-to-staff ratios at all times.
Parents tell us the screen-free part matters more than they expected. Two hours of real play while you train is a win for everyone.
Kidz Club was one of the most loved parts of the original Murfreesboro Athletic Club, and bringing it back was a priority for the new ownership. Longtime members will find it familiar. New members will find it's one more reason MAC makes sense for families.
Please keep sick kids home. It protects the other children in the room and the staff who care for them all day.
What a typical visit looks like
Most parents settle into a routine within a week or two. Walk in, check your child in at the Kidz Club desk, and head wherever your workout takes you. Inside, kids spend their time in a dedicated space with age-appropriate toys and activities, supervised the entire time.
What you do with your two hours is up to you: the weight floor and a stop in the recovery studio, a group fitness class and a few minutes in the sauna, or a personal training session. Just keep an eye on the clock and plan to pick up within the two-hour window.
What parents are saying
Our front desk hears a few themes on repeat from Kidz Club families. The most common is relief: knowing there's a place for the kids the moment you walk in, without texting a sitter or coordinating schedules. Close behind is how quickly kids get comfortable with the routine, to the point where some ask to go back. Several parents also mention that having a place for the kids finally made it possible to take a group class again instead of squeezing in a rushed solo session.

Why Diamond makes sense for families
Kidz Club is included with Diamond, which runs $47 bi-weekly with no contract and no maintenance fee, and covers up to 2 kids per membership. Families with three or more kids add $9 bi-weekly for each additional child. That single membership also includes a daily buddy pass, four recovery sessions a month, and towel service, on top of full facility access and unlimited classes. Add it up and Diamond folds a place for the kids, a full gym membership, and regular recovery into one predictable payment with no long-term commitment. Every new member also starts with a free fitness assessment, a free personal training session, and a free recovery session.

Kidz Club: quick answers
What if my child is sick?
Please keep sick kids home. It's the simplest way to protect the other children and our staff, and we appreciate parents who plan around it.
What should we bring?
A change of clothes and any comfort item your child likes to have on hand goes a long way, especially for younger kids on their first few visits. Our staff will let you know if anything specific comes up during your visit.
Can grandparents use Kidz Club?
The adult checking a child in must be the Diamond member on the account, and that member needs to stay on MAC premises for the full visit. It's a simple rule that keeps the ratios and accountability clear for our staff.
Do we need a reservation?
No. Kidz Club is drop-in. Just check in at the Kidz Club desk whenever you arrive during open hours.
